 Mission Statement

By caring for animals unable to be returned to the wild, the Beartooth Nature Center's primary focus is to educate the public about the protection and conservation of Montana's wildlife and its habitats.

 About Beartooth Nature Center

Beartooth Nature Center is the only public refuge in Montana to house native animals that cannot be returned to the wild due to injury or habituation to humans. We care for 75 animals and birds, many placed here by Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks, including wolves, mountain lions, black bears, bison, elk, antelope, bobcat, fox, coyote, eagles, hawks, owls and many more. The Center offers visitors an unparalleled chance to learn about these and other animals by observing them at close range and through interpretive displays.

Open Daily: Weather permitting, we are currently open 7 days a week 10 am to 2 pm. Summer hours (May - Oct) are 10 am to 5 pm.

Admission is for Adults: $6.00, Seniors : 55+ $5.00 Children: age 5- 15 $2.50. Memberships are also available and entitle holders to unlimited entrance to the Center for one year. Memberships to the BNC are also honored at Zoo Montana. Memberships and Donations are tax-deductible.
